The palette of colours in this land is unique: from the ochre lands in Roussillon and the plains in Apt with hybrid lavender lands to the patchwork of wheat, lavender, hybrid lavender and other aromatic plants fields spreading across the Sault area.
The town of Lagarde d’Apt alone accounts for 20 % of all French production of essential oil of fine lavender grown in the high plateaux (1000 meters).
The Lavender Festival in Sault brings together lavender lovers and growers each year.
